The deep bilge is the lowest part of the boat. It collects any water that ends up inside so it can be pumped out. Normally it's extremely difficult to access to clean or paint but this project removed the bulkhead that is normally in the way. We emptied, scooped, hammer drilled and needle gunned to remove 50 years of neglect. We also added fresh concrete the to the bottom, two coats of primer and a final top coat.
